Founder

Dr Israël Tankam
Dr Israël Tankam

Scientist and Developer

Dr Israël Tankam is a scientist and entrepreneur specialised in agronomic modelling, data analysis and artificial intelligence applied to precision agriculture and the environment. In addition to being the head of scale.ag, he operates as a sole proprietor in France (SIRET 99501191300010). His work focuses in particular on plant disease modelling, integrated pest management, climate data analysis, input optimisation, yield optimisation and the development of decision-support tools for sustainable agriculture. He has developed a particular expertise in extracting robust insights from limited data by combining observations with prior knowledge through hypothetico-deductive modelling, Bayesian inference, hierarchical modelling and hybrid approaches-methods especially suited to contexts such as Sub-Saharan Africa, where data availability is often scarce but informed decision-making remains critical. Before founding Scale.Ag, he worked in international research and the development of digital solutions for precision agriculture and the digital transition of agricultural and agri-food sectors, earlier in human health. 📄

Dr Rony Dupuy
Dr Charles Rony Dupuy

AI Expert & Developer

Dr Charles Rony Dupuy is an engineer, scientist, and entrepreneur with nearly twenty years of experience in software development and artificial intelligence. After training as an engineer, he led strategic software projects in telecommunications and healthcare. He also holds a doctorate from Université Côte d'Azur and Inria in AI applied to precision agriculture. His work focuses on multi‑character optimisation in varietal selection using advanced machine learning, a key challenge for crop resilience. Since 2025, he has also been leading oxx.ai, a partner of scale.ag, with whom he shares the conviction that algorithmic innovation can sustainably transform various professions.
